I AM WHO I AM

Come to me and hunger no longer

“I am the bread of life”

In our weakness, you make us stronger

Come to the Father by my sacrifice

“I am the way, the truth and the life”

Son of David, heal our blind eyes

Come to me and in you I will abide

“I am the true vine”

Everything we need you provide

Believe in me, live and never die

“I am the resurrection and the life”

You arose and are raised on high

Enter by me and find refuge at my side

“I am the door of the sheep”

You rescued us from our sin and pride

I know my own, know me

“I am the good shepherd “

We bow before you on bended knee

Follow me out of darkness

“I am the light of the world”

Fill us with your righteousness

Truly, truly, I am the living Word

“Before Abraham, I am”

Your love for us is ever true, O’ Lord!

Hallelujah and Amen!

“God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I am has sent me to you.’””

Published by Robert M. Hinnen

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified! Robert M Hinnen
