Love is here! Born this day Do not fear So much grace Glad tidings He brings Fullness of joy The angels sing Of this baby boy God’s only Son Born of a virgin The Righteous One To bear our sin On Calvary’s tree Ransom paid For the unworthy He took our place Suffered and died Defeating death He did arise His first breath The third day Mercy won! So much grace God’s Only Son Jesus knocks at the door Ask Him in To reign evermore! Love begins!
I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share.
In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified!
