MY DEAREST CHILD

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.
John 15:9 (ESV)

My love is greater than the darkness
My love is greater than sin
My love is greater than heaven and earth
My love is greater than sorrow
My love is greater than death
My love is greater than any treasure
My love is greater than worry
My love is greater than weakness
My love is greater than despair
My love is greater than knowledge
My love is greater than poverty
My love is greater than sickness
My love is greater than anything you can imagine

My love is hope
My love is faithful
My love is joyful
My love is all powerful

My love is forgiving

My love is wisdom
My love is selfless
My love is boundless
My love is sacrificial
My love is full of grace
My love is righteousness
My love is Holy
My love is unconditional
My love is everlasting
My love is the free gift for the taking
My love is all for you!

Always yours,

Jesus Christ, The Lord and Savior

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified! Robert M Hinnen
