MY REDEEMER LIVES!

Unworthy and blinded am I no longer

My sinfulness and pride He has forgiven

By His grace my faith grows ever stronger

For I know that my Redeemer lives!

See the Cross and the empty grave

Jesus died and arose, new life He gives

Once chained in darkness, now I am saved!

For I know that my Redeemer lives!

The Lord and Savior sits on heaven’s throne

My ransom paid by the King of Kings

Christ Jesus is coming again to claim His own!

Hallelujah! For I know that my Redeemer lives!

“For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth.”

Job 19:25 ESV

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified! Robert M Hinnen
