“GRACE ABOUNDED ALL THE MORE”

Praise God for his glorious grace!

The amazing grace that saves by faith

For God’s boundless grace is all you need

From his throne grace and mercy intercede

Under God’s grace sin has no power over you

His only Son the author of grace and truth

Grace upon grace the Father ever provides

And by this gift of grace his heirs he justifies

In the knowledge and grace of Jesus we grow

Through his shed blood this grace overflows

Transformed by God’s grace I am what I am

Enjoy the immeasurable riches of grace of the Lamb

For the grace of God has appeared for our salvation

Christ Jesus’ grace the source of our redemption

From the Cross and the empty tomb all grace abounds

And by God’s grace this lowly sinner once lost now found!

“The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 5:20-21 NASB1995

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified! Robert M Hinnen
