MY HALLELUJAH

The Son has risen to destroy the darkness To exchange our sins for his righteousness Do you know the one with the power to save Why not accept his free gift of joyous grace

Come to the holy Father on bended knee Seek forgiveness and forever be set free Christ Jesus is the way, the truth and the life Relinquish your idols while there is yet time

A life set free by his sacrifice is free indeed Call on his name to meet all your needs Tell each stranger, your family and friends His unmerited mercy and love never end

Worship him alone who is worthy of praise Rest in his steadfast arms and warm embrace He will never leave you or forsake you Hallelujah! For his promises are ever true!

“O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you.” Psalm 63:1-3 ESV

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified! Robert M Hinnen
