“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24 ESV
Rejoice forever in God’s steadfast love! For grace sent from heaven above Rejoice in suffering for his holy name This is the day the Lord has made!
Rejoice in the God of our salvation! Carrying us through each tribulation Rejoice in the truth of the Living Word Christ Jesus our Savior and our Lord
Rejoice in his sacrifice upon the Cross! Redeeming the beloved unworthy lost Rejoice in the promise of the empty tomb Hallelujah! Jesus is returning soon!
Rejoice with those who rejoice Sing his praises making a joyful noise Rejoice in his gifted righteousness He rejoices over us with gladness!
Rejoice in hope of God’s glory! The Author of unmerited mercy! Rejoice in the Lord always! Be glad and praise him all your days!
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 ESV
I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share.
In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified!
