“THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS”

Praise the Creator of heaven and earth All things are made new through him Displaying his grace by the virgin birth The life that is the true light of men

But we rejected the light for darkness Crucifying The Lamb who bore our sin Yet he freely gifts us his righteousness Made alive in the spirit of Christ risen!

The angel like lightning descended to the tomb How the earth quaked as he rolled the stone away Revealing to the faithful Marys an empty room Our Savior’s resurrection on that glorious day!

Proclaim the Good News to every nation Repent of your sins and only believe Jesus is our blessed hope for sanctification Come worship him on bended knee

He is the only way, the truth and the life! Redeeming an unworthy bride for his own Saving the straying sheep by his sacrifice Come sing his praises at the foot of the throne

Victoriously ascended to glory with exaltation Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior reigns on high! The King of kings, the hero of our salvation! His mercy and love flow to all who draw nigh!

“Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.” 1 Timothy 3:16 ESV

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified! Robert M Hinnen
