I will sing Your praises as the sun declares the morning I will sing praises exalting Your holiness and Your glory I will sing praises for the promise of the Gospel story
I will sing Your praises as the hour approaches midday I will sing praises of Your mercy and Your grace I will sing praises that my sins are completely wiped away
I will sing Your praises in the stillness of the evening I will sing praises to my Savior and my risen King I will sing praises to the Lord and Author of every good thing
I will sing Your praises now and forevermore I will sing Your praises until You call me to heaven’s door I will sing praises to You then like never before!
I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share.
In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified!
