“THE ENDURING LOVE” (for you)

“It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night,” Psalm 92:1-2 ESV

Dear Heavenly Father,

Your mercy and grace pour over us

Fathomless is your faithfulness

There is no affection greater

Your steadfast love endures forever

The object of our endless praise

Your wondrous love that saves

By Jesus’s death and resurrection

You grant us hope of salvation

Love that is ever before our eyes

Your majesty extends beyond the skies

When we stumble your care abounds

In your righteous arms peace is found

Your amazing love fills all the earth

Christ’s sacrifice redeems our worth

Our faith abides in you alone

Our hearts rejoice at your throne

Your steadfast love goes before you

Your promises are always true!

We await the soon return of your only Son!

When the last trumpet sounds the battle is won!

In His Name,

Amen

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified! Robert M Hinnen
