“And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say, “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come!””
Revelation 4:8 ESV
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts!
Behold the whole earth displays His glory
In the Cross of our Savior only do we boast
Jesus is the author and hero of our story
His salvation rescues sinners without merit
Draw near the throne of grace and receive mercy
Let us build up our faith, praying in the Holy Spirit
Every believer shall be holy for our God is holy
Exalt the Lord and worship at His holy mountain
Great and wonderful are the works of our God!
All His promises fulfilled by the King on Zion!
His commandment is holy, righteous and good
He who called us is holy, be holy in all your ways
Praise His great and awesome name, Holy is He!
God’s only Son, Jesus, the fullness of truth and grace
Only the holy Lamb of God that was slain is worthy!!
I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share.
In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified!
