“A TIME FOR PEACE”

“He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide disputes for strong nations far away; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore;”.

Micah 4:3 ESV

God will judge the world in righteousness

And the many peoples in His faithfulness

His spoken word will judge us on that day

Hear what the righteous judge has to say

Whoever rejects Him and His word has a judge

Repent of sin and receive the Redeemer’s touch

Heaven declares His might and righteousness

May the power of our Advocate give you rest

The great grace of Jesus is sufficient for us

For His power is made perfect in weakness

Know that in everything there is a season

A time given for every matter under heaven

A time to love, to hate, a time for war and for peace

Let us come before His throne on bended knees

Humbly pray, then let the weak say “I am a warrior”

Our blessed hope the soon appearing of our Savior!

When we are weak, Christ Jesus makes us strong!

Praise His mercy and forgiveness in endless song!

Hold fast to the Cross of the Prince of Peace!

Jesus has secured our hearts and He never retreats!

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified! Robert M Hinnen
