“COME AND HEAR”

“Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul.”

Psalm 66:16 ESV

Great is the Father’s love toward those who fear Him

The true word you hear is from your Heavenly Father

He who has ears, let him hear and repent of his sin

Come, everyone who thirsts, drink of this Living Water

Whoever is of God, hears and obeys His Word

Accept His free gift of love and be saved by grace

May our souls ever magnify our risen Savior and Lord!

Hear the trumpet sound, God fights for us in this place

Trust in the promises of the life that is in Christ Jesus

No longer orphans for we have been given the Holy Spirit!

God restores the soul, leading us in paths of righteousness

What will it profit us if we gain the world and our soul is forfeit

Jesus satisfies the weary soul, the languishing He will replenish

May our souls magnify the Lord, exalting in His salvation!

God so loved the world He sent His Son, believe and never perish!

We who believe go therefore to make disciples of all nations!

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified! Robert M Hinnen
