“FOUND ONLY IN YOU”

“Steadfast love and faithfulness meet; righteousness and peace kiss each other.”

Psalm 85:10

O Lord, Your steadfast love for us endures forever

Your mercies never end, great is Your faithfulness

May Your glory be our ransomed hearts’ only endeavor

Always guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus

Peace and trust meet only in Your righteous Son

His faithfulness forever springs up from the ground

Great are Your mercy and grace, gifting us salvation

At the Cross Your righteousness and peace flow down

We declare Your steadfast love for us every morning

By night we proclaim Your faithfulness will never cease

Your perfect peace surpasses all our understanding

May the result of Your righteousness be endless peace

Thank You for showing us Your steadfast love, O Lord

For You bestow steadfast love on all who love You

We praise You for every promise in Your Living Word

Blessed are all who in Christ Jesus find hope and refuge!

Amen!

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified! Robert M Hinnen
