TRUST IN JESUS

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.”

Jeremiah 17:7 ESV

Blessed is the believer whose God is the Lord

Behold, precious are the promises in His Word

Trust in the Lord Jesus with your whole heart

In His love and mercy, righteousness He imparts

Blessed are all who hunger now, they shall be satisfied

In the holy God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ

Who blesses us with spiritual blessings in heavenly places

The crucified and risen Redeemer saves us by His grace

Blessed are those who weep now, for they shall laugh

Commit your way to the Lord, trust Him and He will act

Do not rely own your own strength and understanding

Trust the Lord our God, our hope and rock everlasting

Blessed is everyone who makes the Lord his only trust

Place your faith in Jesus, our refuge and mighty fortress

When we trust in His holy name, our hearts are glad in Him

Blessed be our Savior and Lord forevermore! Amen and amen!

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified! Robert M Hinnen
