“THE LORD REIGNS”

“The Lord reigns; he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved.”

Psalm 93:1 ESV

How beautiful Jesus is, who brings us peace and salvation!

Praise the steadfast love of our God the Almighty of Zion!

Let heaven and earth rejoice and all peoples worship gladly

The Lord God and Creator clothed with awesome majesty!

Behold the Savior of the world who died for us on the Cross!

He is risen, conquering death, redeeming even this one lost

His name is written on his blood-dipped robe and on his thigh

The Word of God, the King of kings and Lord of lords calls us nigh

Praise the name of our Lord and Savior our sins are forgiven!

Let the name, Jesus, alone be exalted above earth and heaven

Find his strength and beauty in the everlasting holy sanctuary

Listen to the voice of the Lord all powerful and full of majesty

I love you, Lord Jesus, you are my strength and my forever song

Praising your matchless mercy and great grace my whole life long

See the great multitude gathering where only righteousness remains

My voice joins the mighty roar, crying out “Hallelujah! Our God reigns!”

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week.
