“Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.”
Psalm 90:1-2 ESV
The Lord has chosen Zion as his desired dwelling place
Come into his courts with praise, worship at his footstool
We are being built together, all believers saved by grace
Everlasting to everlasting, God is our hope and our refuge
Proclaim his glorious name to all peoples from every nation
Christ Jesus will draw near to you when you to him draw nigh
His mercy is for all who fear him from generation to generation
How lovely the dwelling place of the Lord, our God, Most High
The steadfast love of the Lord faithfully rescues his lost flock
Blessed be our Savior and our Lord, Jesus, the Living Word
Trust in God forever, our heavenly Father is the everlasting rock!
Let all redeemed people say “Amen and amen!” Praise the Lord!
I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share.
In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified!
