IN HIS HANDS

“Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.” Isaiah 49:16 ESV

“I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.” John 10:28 ESV

Christ Jesus loves you as the holy Father has loved him

Forever the redeemed will abide in a peaceful habitation

With him in secure dwellings, and in a quiet resting place

Abide in his abundant love all who are saved by grace

My soul clings to Jesus, his righteous right hand upholds me

The mighty hand of our Lord and Savior King does valiantly

From our God and through him and to him are all things

He rejoices over us with gladness, our refuge under his wings

Christ Jesus has engraved you on the palms of his hands

Discover lasting peace and joy within the holy walls of Zion

Behold love and mercy fill the nail holes of the Son of Man!

His gift is eternal life, no one will snatch you out of his hand!

Hallelujah and amen!

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified! Robert M Hinnen
