“YOUR FAITH HAS MADE YOU WELL” (to Hannah)

“And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace, and be healed of your disease.””

Mark 5:34 ESV

My dearest child,

I am the great Physician, and I hear your prayers

Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden

I have born the Cross, I will take away your cares

For you are the sheep of my pasture, my precious children

You may go through various trials and tribulations

But I am with you, no one will snatch you out of my hand

I am the way, the truth and the life, author of salvation

You are justified by faith, find hope in the great I am

In the loneliness of suffering, in the darkness of the night

You will find peace beyond understanding and perfect rest

For I have overcome sin and death, I am the risen Light

My right hand will uphold you when you are put to the test

O my daughters and my sons, I will never leave or forsake you

My transforming power, my mercy and love have just begun

To exchange your heart of stone for a heart of flesh so true

Now you have all the grace you will need, for we are one!

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week.
