“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”
Isaiah 43:2 ESV

I have come into deep waters, and the flood sweeps over me
My sin and my pride I confess had made my life a shipwreck
Blot out my transgressions according to your abundant mercy
Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck
I will not be afraid or dismayed, for you, O Lord, are with me
You help me and uphold me by your righteous right hand
Your faithful word of truth calms even the most tumultuous sea
Behold the true Light that beckons me to the promised land
Jesus leads me beside still waters by rivers of unending grace
The lure of the lie and darkness of the deep will not overwhelm me
With the Lord by my side there is no fiery trial that I cannot face
The crucible is for silver, the furnace for gold, Jesus tests the heart lovingly
For there is only One who walks on water and brings us peace
By his blood Christ rescued us from drowning in sin and darkness
His glorious majesty and matchless power command the wind to cease
Find rest in the everlasting embrace of the One who died and arose to save us!
Come now, Lord Jesus!
