“CHRIST ALWAYS LEADS US!”

“But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.”

2 Corinthians 2:14 ESV

Let us give thanks to God in all circumstances

This is the will of our Lord in Christ Jesus

Give thanks to Him always and for everything

Of His steadfast love our hearts will ever sing

God leads us in righteous paths for His name’s sake

The way is hard leading to life, narrow is the gate

But when the righteous triumph, there is great glory

Bless Him who crowns us with steadfast love and mercy

Walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself for us

May we ever be to God a fragrant offering and sacrifice

We are the aroma of Christ to God among those being saved

For by matchless grace we have been saved through faith

Let the little children come to Jesus, never hinder them

For to such belongs the promised kingdom of heaven

So we ambassadors of Christ implore the lost to reconciliation

Going into all the world to proclaim the gospel to the whole creation!

I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, but it wasn’t until a few of years ago that my writing became more spiritual and at the same time more prolific. As I shared my poetry with my wife, Hannah, and a few good friends, they encouraged me to place the poems in book form. My first book endeavor was “Because Of Him”, published in 2017. After hearing Sammy Murimi, the director of Share International Inc., speak at our church, I decided that the proceeds from that book would be donated to Share. In 2018, Hannah and I were privileged to go to Turkanaland in Kenya on a mission trip with Share. It was a life-changing experience for us both. Some of the inspiration from that trip is expressed in my second book, “His Cup Pours Out”. I include scripture verses with my poems because most of the poems I have written were inspired by reading God’s Word. I hope that as you visit this blog, you will meditate on the scripture verses and write down your prayers and thoughts for the week. My goal for this project has always been that God would be glorified! Robert M Hinnen
