“THE GREAT AND AWESOME DAY”

“And I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape, as the Lord has said, and among the survivors shall be those whom the Lord calls.”

Joel 2:30-32 ESV

Give thanks to the Lord of lords who alone does great wonders

Showing wonders in heaven and on earth, blood, fire and smoke

Praise Jesus, for his mercy rescues and his steadfast love endures

Learn from him for he is gentle, lowly in heart, and easy is his yoke

Behold the great and awesome day of the Lord our God is coming

After the moon is turned to blood and the sun turns to darkness

Blessed are all those who come unto salvation by Jesus our King

Everyone who calls on his name shall be saved by his righteousness

For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape

Sinners whom he predestined he also called, justified and glorified

All those who the Lord calls shall be saved by grace through faith

For this reason our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, suffered and died

Exalt our Lord and risen Redeemer forevermore!
